Here at UnifierHQ, we always aim to make Unifier as easy to use and manage as possible. This is why we included features like Plugins and System Manager, so you can effortlessly extend your instance's functionality and upgrade your instance and plugins to the newest version.
However, installing Unifier hasn't received as much love as everything else did. So we've decided to pour some effort into this aspect of hosting Unifier, and we developed the Unifier Installer.
If you go to Unifier's , you will see that the majority of the content is just configuring Unifier. This is definitely in no way fun - you have to edit a bunch of keys, some of which are probably very important but hard for one to understand how the heck they even work.
We needed to simplify this part of the installation process, as it is tedious and takes up the most amount of time. So we decided to create a Discord bot for helping you install Unifier, so you can just click, select, and go, instead of studying 70%ish of the installation guide just to install one bot that's meant to be as seamless as possible.
You can run Installer on any Unix-based/Unix-like system (e.g. Linux, macOS) with Python 3.8 or higher installed. It should also run on Windows, but we can't guarantee success, especially since Installer is meant to run on servers, not PCs.
Other than Python, no. Installer automatically installs dependencies (and also Unifier) on its own, so all you need to do is just configure and watch.
First, the program will ask you for your user ID and your bot's token. These will be saved in the config.json and .env files respectively, so they can be used in the installed bot.
If you're not sure how to get these, Installer will give you instructions in the console, so don't worry!
